Hokorigakure was founded by Gaara who desired to always protect his people so be formed a massive city wide barrier of compressed dense sand around what would become Hokorigakure, this sand barrier is considered the worlds strongest barrier for nothing over the years not even the Horned beasts have been able to even lay a scratch on it. Hokorigakure lies within a dessert oasis near a massive river and not too far from the Screamin vortex.
